I am not sure whether this is the right forum for my query...but I think as this is all domino (blackberry forum includes exchange as well), I am sure I would find the answer.
We are planning for infra upgrade/ implementation of the new BB10 and all it's functionality. I have read a lot of documents available for this and gone through almost all forums but still one thing seems to be confusing me and my colleagues.
We are planning to install and configure all the below services.
1. Blackberry Device Service
2. Universal Device Service
3. Communication for Universal Device Manager
4. Mobile Fusion/Blackberry Management Studio.
My question is simple....
Let's assume that our environment does not have any traveler or BES. To install and Configure the above (BES for blackberry devices and iOS, Android devices) do we need to enable Microsoft Active Sync and set-up a Traveler server in between the BB server and domino mail server?
OR
We can simply install a BB Enterprise Server 10,
BB Enterprise Service 10 in corporate network and the Universal Device Service & the Mobile fusion in DMZ.
I want to know whether Traveler (though IBM says Traveler 8.5.3 does not support active sync, traveler 9 will)and Microsoft Active sync is must for BES10.
Thanks in Advance.
